96' Toyota Tacoma Standard Cab Install
The challenge was simple. Build an enclosure that would allow Tom (6 feet tall) to get a good sounding system without the loss of foot room. This was accomplished by a single Rockford Fosgate 10" HE subwoofer powered with a Fosgate 100.2 amplifier.
The details... the box was a mere .73 cubic foot and sealed. The amp was bridged to give it a full 200 watts (as provided by Rockfords bench test). The amp rack was made with 1/4 inch plywood and covered with medium gray trunk liner carpeting.
The verdict... yet again another standing ovation for Rockford. The speaker performed beyond my expectations and produced a very broad range of frequency response. This single sub filled the cab with unbelievable amount of sound making a very clean and successful installation.
Work still to be done.... this project will be finished of in the near future by extending the amp rack across the entire rear of the cab covering up the bare metal and a possible storage location for the jack.
